Located in the historic district on famous Columbia Avenue, this original structure was built by contractor Richard C. Souder in the early 1870's for local entrepreneur Peter McCullum. This cottage shows the basic McCullum formula prevalent in the period that includes vergeboards, paired cornice brackets and a third story central gable. The first floor interior features bull pine flooring, a type of pine that is now extinct, in the living room and dinning room and an eye catching 52 panel coffer ceiling in the living room.
